A massive 42 per cent of customers at Taylor Wimpey’s prestigious Mulberry Place development in Cheshire have been buyers taking their first step onto the property ladder.

Of the first-time buyers at Mulberry Place, the developer also reports that 100 per cent of them utilised the government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which assists buyers to secure a new home with just a small five per cent deposit.

Stuart Craig, sales manager at Taylor Wimpey North West comments: “Cheshire is without question one of the most desirable locations in the UK, let alone the North West, so it’s incredible to announce that nearly half of the customers at Mulberry Place are actually first-time buyers.

“The fact that each one of these buyers also made use of Help to Buy, further highlights the significance the scheme has had on the market.”

The initiative enables eligible purchasers the chance to secure any home worth up to the value of £600,000 with only a five per cent deposit, while also benefitting from a 20 per cent equity loan.

Mulberry Place is located in the popular Tarporley area of Cheshire, and currently features a variety of three, four and five bedroom homes from just £244,995; or just £195,996 through Help to Buy.

Stuart concludes: “If you have been thinking about taking that first-step onto the property ladder and are considering the Tarporley area, I would definitely recommend visiting Mulberry Place to find out more about Help to Buy.”
