In a milestone year, Redrow will celebrate its housebuilding history with special events across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

It’s the homebuilder’s 40th anniversary in November and to mark the occasion, the company is rolling out the red carpet at developments in Easingwold, North Yorkshire; Horsforth, Steeton, Wakefield and Crofton, in West Yorkshire; Cottingham, in East Yorkshire; Dodworth, near Barnsley, in South Yorkshire; and Barton-upon-Humber and Grimsby, in North Lincolnshire

Redrow customers past, present and future are invited to join in the celebrations on Saturday and Sunday, November 8 and 9, with drinks, nibbles and the chance for someone at one of the developments to win £200 of John Lewis vouchers.

Dave Bexon, Redrow Group sales and marketing director, said: “Over the weekend we’re inviting would-be home owners and our existing customers to help to celebrate Redrow’s anniversary and share in our long-standing history.

“We’ve built thousands of homes during that time and, through the communities we’ve created, brought together hundreds of new neighbours and hopefully many new friends. We’d love to see some of those people at our events while also providing an opportunity for people who may be considering buying a new home to find out a bit more about us.”

Redrow was founded in 1974, when Steve Morgan borrowed £5,000 from his father to set up a civil engineering business. The firm moved into housebuilding in 1982, building its first new homes in Denbigh, North Wales. A year later, with 359 employees, Redrow opened new offices in Alltami, not far from the present-day St David’s Park headquarters in Flintshire. Today the company employs around 1,300 people with developments across England and Wales.

The anniversary ‘red carpet’ events will take place at all of Redrow’s developments in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire on Saturday and Sunday, November 8th and 9th, from 11am until 4pm. Developments celebrating the 40th anniversary are:
