Excellent local amenities are a feature of Bellway’s new Jameson Fields development on the edge of Ponteland. The attractive Northumberland village includes some very popular local pubs and restaurants and good shopping at Sainsburys and Waitrose as well as a selection of specialist privately owned retail outlets.

Lying in a secluded position on the edge of Ponteland, Jameson Fields is ideally positioned for commuters. Travelling time to Newcastle is around 20 minutes and the airport can be reached in around 10 minutes.

One of the most attractive aspects of Ponteland which continues to draw families to the area is the education system. Northumberland favours the three tier, first, middle and high school system and Ponteland Community High school continues to rate highly with parents looking for an excellent state school.

Rob Armstrong, sales director at Bellway, said: “Sites like this on the edge of an established village rarely come to the market. All our residents appreciate its attractive location and the fact that we have retained a country feel to Jameson Fields by limiting the development to only 34 homes - each one benefitting from a good amount of garden space.”

Prices start at £339,995 and Bellway is offering a selection of four bedroom homes across a range of styles. Visitors can view The Strand 2 show home which features a large kitchen diner and adjacent family room as well as a separate dining room and lounge on the ground floor. The first floor comprises four good size bedrooms with the master bedroom including ensuite facilities.

Each of the homes offers a comprehensive specification which includes a Zanussi stainless steel electric double oven, gas or ceramic hob, stainless steel cooker hood, integrated fridge freezer and dishwasher and customers can choose from a selection of traditional or contemporary kitchen cabinets and worktops. Bathrooms feature contemporary white sanitary ware with chrome fittings and buyers can select from a range of wall tiling options.

All the homes include a zoned heating system allowing radiators on the ground floor to be controlled independently of those on the first floor which helps with the efficient running of the home.

As well as the existing comprehensive specification, buyers can also select items from Bellway’s considerable additions catalogue to further personalise and enhance their new home.

For buyers with a home to sell, Bellway will consider part exchange arrangements or, alternatively will help you sell your old home using their Express Mover service which is free-off-charge. Buyers can ask take advantage of the Help to Buy scheme and take advantage of a low 5% deposit and 20% five year interest free loan which will reduce monthly mortgage repayments during the first five years of occupation.
