According to research by Mintel, one in three Brits admit to avoiding exercise, citing cost as the top reason for not going to the gym, while a fifth blame lack of time. Providing a solution to both of these problems, Genesis’ development Zenith House is now home to Colindale’s brand new branch of The Gym, an affordable, contract-less gymnasium group, offering resident’s fitness solutions on the doorstep.

Zenith House is situated on Edgware Road, and sees a total of 308 new homes in a wide range of property types across several buildings. Zenith House is an ongoing landmark development by Genesis, and offers everything you would expect from one of London’s biggest and most successful housing associations.

Lorraine Heitt, General Manager of The Gym, said: “We’re thrilled to have launched a new gym in Colindale. Having low cost, 24-hour access to top-of-the-range fitness equipment makes us a unique gym facility in the local area, and means residents at Zenith House have no excuse not to exercise now! The Gym Group is one of the longest established budget gym groups nationally, with award winning facilities and a quarter of a million members- and now a few more in Colindale.”

Anthony Harker, Head of Commercial at Genesis, said of the new facilities: “To be able to offer our residents an affordable gym quite literally on their doorstep is a huge bonus for many of our residents, and something we are very pleased to be able to do. The 24-hour facilities available at The Gym are ideal for people with busy lives, being able to work out whenever they want night or day, just seconds from your doorstep.”

The flagship 16-storey tower offers sweeping views of London, and boasts high quality interior specification. Zenith House includes the latest in green technology, including photovoltaic panels, green roofs and superior insulation. The development also benefits from gated security, secure underground parking (at an additional cost) and a video entry system to each home.

Colindale is a thriving quarter of North London, with local shops, eateries and leisure facilities all within easy reach of Zenith House. Nearby Brent Cross has been earmarked for a share of a £4.5bn regeneration scheme, and is already home to a large shopping centre with over 120 shops including John Lewis and Waitrose.

Zenith House is located approximately one mile from Colindale underground station on the Edgware branch of the Northern Line. Edgware is seven minutes away by tube, Brent Cross five minutes and Bank just 33 minutes. Nearby Mill Hill Broadway, less than two miles from both developments, is the nearest Overground station, and there are many regular bus routes in the local area, which serve Vision, Zenith House and the Colindale community.

At Zenith House, guide prices for a one bedroom apartment start from £265,000. Prices are subject to change. For further information, visit genesishahomes.org.uk.
