Renowned French restaurant, Le Pont de la Tour, has unveils its fondue bar terrace. Open until the end of February, the riverside fondue bar will serve a selection of culinary delights from truffle cheese to indulgent Belgian chocolate fondue, all paired with exquisite wines.

The menu, prepared by Executive Head Chef Tom Cook, includes an array of fondue dishes to share such as: Savoyarde (melted mix of gruyere, tomme de savoie and beaufort cheeses with white wine) served with charcuterie, croutons and boiled new potatoes; Bourguignon (finely cut strips of beef sirloin, served with a sauce of your choice e.g. Worcestershire or tartare); and Raclette served on parmentier potatoes with bacon lardons. For dessert, there will be Fondue Valrhona, a blend of Valrhona chocolates melted down and served with orange blossom marshmallow, chocolate brownie and banana. Fondues are priced between £15 – 45 and serve two people.

Le Pont de la Tour’s head sommelier Antoine Dugand has picked a selection of French wines to perfectly compliment the fondue dishes including 2012 Roussette de Savoie-Frangy, Domaine Lupin, Savoie  and 2012 Banyuls, Domaine de La Rectorie ‘Parcé Frères’, Languedoc-Roussillon.

Guests can enjoy their food in a relaxed yet chic environment. The heated, sheltered bar and terrace is decked out with warm woollen blankets, storm lanterns and candles. Cosy fur throws and cushions provide a touch of comfortable luxury, making it the perfect place to enjoy magnificent views of Tower Bridge on a crisp evening.

The fondue bar and terrace takes reservations.
