A multi-million investment in Carlisle has ‘started to bear fruit’ for the community, as well as much needed new homes.

The regeneration of the area, including 159 new properties which have now been completed, has led to an influx of new families and young professionals.

Now a new phase has been welcomed by Councillor Jessica Riddle who said the area has been transformed.

The latest introduction of a range of stylish new properties at the town’s new development, Parkside, is also helping to shape the wider community, with buyers keen to take advantage of a range of incentives, including Help to Buy.

And with prices almost £10,000 cheaper than the average cost of a three bedroom home elsewhere in Carlisle – the properties are proving a winning alternative to renting.

Lovell’s development, overlooking Heysham Park, with a mile-long stretch of green open spaces for families to take advantage of, will feature 44 two and three bedroom homes.

Situated off Wigton Road, Parkside offers a three bedroom stylish contemporary home from £124,995, and follows the developer’s hugely successful previous phases at The Elms, Parkview and the Hawthorns.

Said councillor Riddle: “I am delighted to see another Lovell development. This estate has been transformed in the last 10 years with new homes enabling families to move in with access to gardens and, of course, the wonderful Heysham Park. There is a lot to be proud of.”

Clare Noakes, regional sales manager for Lovell in the North West, added “The impact of our developments has started to bear fruit on the rest of the area.

“We expect homes at Parkside will be as popular as our other developments – they offer excellent value for money and, set alongside the park, they provide a perfect environment for families who want to take advantage of the playground and sports facilities.

“They have helped shape the look of this key part of the town, with appealing new homes alongside the open spaces and will bring investment into the area to benefit the wider community.”

The homes have already proved popular with buyers who are keen to take advantage of the development’s easy access to both Carlisle and the M6 for commuters. The properties are especially appealing to first-time buyers who are keen to get on the property ladder.

The new homes are available to purchase with the Help to Buy scheme. This enables buyers to purchase with just a 5% deposit and a 20% equity loan from the government.

The energy efficient homes all feature contemporary kitchens, with top name appliances, stylish bathroom suites and a host of other quality fixtures and fittings and are cheaper to run than older properties.

At Parkside, prices start from £124,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached home. The sales centre is open Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm. For more information, visit lovellnewhomes.co.uk/developments/northwest/parkside.
