Enjoy a Michelin-starred Christmas!

Unlike the unfortunate events of the very first Christmas, there is still room at the Michelin-starred Tyddyn Llan ‘Restaurant with Rooms’ near Corwen in North Wales for those who have yet to book a Christmas escape.

Chef and owner Bryan Webb – who has held a Michelin star for the past six years – has created a three-night gastronomic break that will send the taste buds to heaven.

The break will begin on Christmas Eve when afternoon tea will be served to arriving guests from 3.00pm, with a well-deserved cuppa (or something stronger); this will be followed later on in the evening with a French-themed dinner.

On the big day itself a continental breakfast will be served in anticipation of the feast to follow later in the day.

A four-course lunch of traditional British fare with all the trimmings will be served, with choices for each course and, in the evening, there will be a festive buffet so guests can end the day at their own pace.

On Boxing Day morning a full cooked breakfast will be served until 10.00am with lunch available from 12.45 (optional: £45.00).

The gastronomic highlight of the day is dinner; a six-course feast of Italian festive favourites featuring wild mushrooms, truffles and seafood.

Guests will depart after breakfast on the morning of 27th December.

Tyddyn Llan is located just outside the village of Llandrillo in the shadow of the Berwyn Mountains and is the perfect place for exploring the area on foot, building up an appetite to enjoy Bryan’s delicious food.

There are six walking guides, free for guests, with a choice of moderate and strenuous walks to choose from including one to the mysterious Stone Circle.

There are plenty of other things to do and places to see in the area including Bala Lake, steam train rides on the Llangollen railway and the historic churches of Llangar and Rhug.

The three-night Christmas break costs from £495 pp (two sharing) with room upgrades available. Well behaved dogs also welcome in some bedrooms.
