12 Days of Christmas Trail at the Heritage Motor Centre!

10th December 2014 Print

Children can take part in the 12 Days of Christmas Trail at the Heritage Motor Centre which starts on the 12 December. Children will need to help Martin the Mechanic collect his tokens by finding the cars he has worked on in the museum in time for Christmas. The Trail is ideal for all the family and is specially designed to appeal to those aged 3 - 12 years old.

Visitors will be given a trail sheet, clipboard and money bag and have to follow the clues to find the 12 payment tokens placed by various cars around the museum. At each car there will be a stash of numbered tokens and visitors will need to pop one into the money bag and follow the clue to the next car. Clues are based around the ‘12 days of Christmas’ (e.g. On the 4th day of Christmas, the mechanic fixed the door, of the gas turbine Rover T4…). Once all 12 tokens have been collected, the visitors can take their full money bag back to the museum desk and be rewarded with their own chocolate coin!

Please note the museum closes at the end of Tuesday 23 December and re-opens on Friday 2 January with an automotive-themed ‘Thank You’ card workshop for children.
