Ring the changes with a New Year move to a new home in Wolverhampton

Homeowners are being urged to act now if they want to beat the post-Christmas rush and move to a brand new home at Compton Park, Wolverhampton, early in the New Year.

They can also take advantage of savings brought about by changes to the way stamp duty is paid, which were announced in the chancellor’s Autumn Statement.

The Redrow development on Compton Road West launched in January 2013 and almost two years on is now an established and sought-after place to live.

The good news for those who aspire to own one of these executive properties but have a house to sell, is that Redrow is offering to help customers secure a buyer with its Mastermove service.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), explains: “Last year, property website Rightmove reported a 20% increase in those looking for a new home between Christmas and New Year. With that in mind and with homes at The Pastures selling fast, we’d encourage those who want to move here to seriously think about putting their existing property on the market pre-Christmas.

“For a small, refundable deposit, our Mastermove service enlists a local agent to market a customer’s home and for those who act now it will allow them to take full advantage of the festive boom. And the chancellor’s announcement on stamp duty reform will be an extra little festive bonus!”

Mastermove takes away all the stresses of selling, ideal in the busy run up to Christmas, because Redrow does all of the hard work. Customers have their property valued and, once a selling price is agreed, Redrow instructs a local estate agent to market the property on their behalf. Crucially, the housebuilder keeps in regular contact with all parties to ensure the sales process runs quickly and smoothly and they will even pay the estate agent’s fees at the end of the day. All it takes is a small deposit, which will be refunded upon completion.

In some cases Redrow may even accept a customer’s existing property in part exchange for a brand new home.

Compton Park includes four and five-bedroom designs from the Heritage Collection. Current availability includes a five-bedroom detached Buckingham which will be ready to move into early in the New Year.

Priced from £589,995, the Buckingham features two reception rooms, an open plan kitchen, breakfast area and family room plus adjoining utility room to the ground floor. Four of the five bedrooms benefit from their own en-suite, with the master bedroom enjoying the added glamour of a dressing room

The stamp duty changes just announced will mean a saving of £4,000 on a property at this price level compared to the old regime.
