With seven sales in the first month and dozens of eager buyers waiting in the wings, the launch of Barley Fields in Earls Barton was a resounding success.

Demand was so high that a further four homes were made available via Redrow’s ‘early bird’ scheme and they too were quickly snapped up – even though they won’t be ready to move into for some months.

Now, as the development beings to take shape - and the first residents due to move in early in the new year - Redrow is anticipating further sales success, prompted by the very popular Oxford showhome.

Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “Barley Fields is off to a flying start with seven sales, plus four ‘early bird’ reservations, which will give customers first refusal when their preferred property is released for sale. We also have a database of around 200 people interested in moving here, with more names being added to the list as people see building work progress and the homes taking shape. We would encourage would be homeowners to view our new showhome at the earliest opportunity so that they can see for themselves all that a brand new Redrow home has to offer.”

Located off Compton Way, Barley Fields will eventually comprise 65 homes from Redrow’s sought-after Heritage Collection in a choice of two, three and four-bedroom styles.

Professionally styled by interior designers, the four-bedroom Oxford showhome is a prime example of how Redrow blends traditional Arts & Crafts inspired architecture with high specification modern interiors.

Its double-height bay windows, with decorative tile-hanging above, and overhanging eaves supported by decorative gallows-style brackets give a nod to the past. Inside however, it’s designed to meet the demands of 21st century family living, offering 1,317 sq ft of accommodation.

As the heart of the Oxford is an open plan kitchen and dining room, with French doors leading from this inviting, sociable space to the garden. There’s a separate lounge, while a cloakroom /wc, utility room, plus integral garage complete the ground floor. Upstairs are four good-size bedrooms, including master with en-suite, and a family bathroom.

People who buy new homes at Barley Fields will be able to embrace village living. There are several small shops to cater for residents’ daily needs, while the amenities of Wellingborough and Northampton are both easily accessible.

The new homes are ideally placed for buyer with children as they’re within walking distance of the local infants and junior schools.

The showhome at Barley Fields is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information, see redrow.co.uk/barleyfields.
