Home buyers are taking full advantage of the Government-backed Help to Buy at a Lovell development in Doncaster, where 48% of homes have been purchased using the scheme.

The house builder has revealed that of the 44 homes sold since the launch of the scheme in April 2013, 21 have been purchased using Help to Buy.

Government figures have revealed that more than 71,000 households have purchased a home using Help to Buy, with over 80% bought by first-time buyers.

Help to Buy allows buyers to secure their home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, backed up with a 20% equity loan provided by the Government.

Lincoln Gardens, located just off Carr House Road, features a range of two and three-bedroom homes.

Sue Bowker, Sales Adviser at Lincoln Gardens, comments: “It’s fantastic to see so many people using Help to Buy to help them purchase a new home here at Lincoln Gardens.

“The majority of home buyers opting to use Help to Buy are first-time buyers and the feedback we’ve received from many is that they wouldn’t have been able to take their first steps onto the property ladder without this scheme.

“The main advantages of using Help to Buy are that buyers need to save only a 5% deposit to secure their home and because they are taking out a 75% mortgage, they can also benefit from lower monthly repayments.”

Help to Buy is available to first and second-time buyers and can be used on homes of any size up to the value of £600,000.

The 20% equity loan is funded by the Government and provided by the Homes and Communities Agency. Home buyers do not pay any interest on the loan for the first five years.

The scheme is available on all homes at Lincoln Gardens, which benefit from a high specification and feature a modern fully fitted kitchen with integrated cooking appliances and a stylish bathroom.

Sue adds: “We’re delighted that Help to Buy will be available until 2020 and hope many more home buyers will take advantage of the opportunity to use the scheme while it is available.

“If you’re interested in using Help to Buy to purchase at Lincoln Gardens or just want to find out more, visit me at the marketing suite where I will be happy to answer any questions.”

Homes are priced from £114,995.

Lincoln Gardens is in close proximity to the town centre, Lakeside shopping village and local amenities and offers easy access to the M18, M1 and A1(M).
