Those thinking of moving home in 2015 are invited to a special event to find out about all the help on offer for buying a brand new home in Manchester.

Visitors to the St John Gardens development on Saturday, January 17, will be able to take part in Redrow’s Homebuyer Surgery and find out about financial and practical help available to them, such as Help to Buy or part exchange.

They’ll also have the chance to talk to various independent experts who can help them make the right choices.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “Help to Buy has proved to be very popular in Moston, with the majority of our customers using the scheme since it was introduced. Some of our customers perhaps wouldn’t have been able to buy without it and they’ve often been pleasantly surprised as to what they can afford thanks to the 20% equity loan that brings the initial price down. We’d urge those thinking of buying a new home in 2015 to come along and speak to our experts to see if they could be buying a brand new home in Manchester too.”

In the latest phase of a major regeneration scheme in Moston and Harpurhey, St John Gardens will feature three and four-bedroom homes.

Current availability includes three and four-bedroom detached homes from £178,950 to £199,995, but Help to Buy could reduce the starting price to just £143,160 – for a home that’s only 10 minutes from Manchester city centre via the local tram service.

Following on from Woodville Gardens and Hanson Gardens, the homes all hail from the housebuilder’s award-winning Heritage Collection which marries Arts & Crafts-style exteriors with contemporary 21st century interiors. Additionally, the homes boast special measures to make them extra energy and water efficient.

While previous phases have been based on Redrow’s Heritage designs, this latest show complex is the first to fully feature the full Heritage Collection style. The showhome will be a three-bedroom detached ‘Warwick’ housetype and the four-bedroom ‘Stratford’ housetype will be home to the marketing suite providing visitors with the opportunity to see both styles up close. Other designs available at the venture will include the popular three-bedroom ‘Letchworth’ semi and the three-storey, four-bedroom ‘Kenilworth’ townhouse.

Redrow began its regeneration project in Moston back in spring 2010 and has since been helping to transform this part of North Manchester in partnership with the City Council, while providing new homes and jobs for local people.

The housebuilder has invested almost £400,000 on highway improvements in the neighbourhood; resurfacing roads, replacing footpaths and installing traffic calming measures at key junctions. This work and the construction of the new homes has been carried out with the help of local labour and complements the City Council’s own multi-million pound improvements in the area.

Manchester is just 10 minutes by car or via the tram and bus services and the area boasts a strong community spirit and bustling high street.

The Homebuyer Surgery event at St John Gardens will take place from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, January 17.
