Jumeirah Dhevanafushi, situated in an idyllic and secluded location at the southernmost tip of the Maldives, has unveiled the ‘Island Wellness Retreat’ to help guests escape the frenzy of modern life this New Year.

The four- or seven-night wellness retreat offers guests the chance to unwind and rejuvenate in paradise. On arrival to this secret hideaway in the heart of the Indian Ocean, each guest will receive a relaxing foot-massage, a couple’s detox body wrap and body scrub.

Guests will then be introduced to the award-winning Talise Spa with a consultation to discuss treatments and a personalised programme with their therapists and butler. Each day also begins with a hearty but healthy breakfast in the restaurant that overlooks the stunning Indian Ocean.

Fitness fanatics can make the most of a personal fitness session, boot camp and other daily fitness classes. For those looking to focus on mind and body, daily yoga and pilates classes are offered with the island’s qualified instructor. Each session is tailored to the individual and is available for guests of all fitness levels.

Every villa on the island has a private pool and day bed, so guests can soak up the sun and de-stress in private. Snorkelling equipment is provided free of charge so guests can explore the vibrant underwater coral gardens famed for their abundance of fish and turtles. The main island also features an over-water gym and the resort’s expert personal trainer is qualified in tabata bootcamp, zumba, aqua aerobics, kickboxing and pilates.

The ‘Island Wellness Retreat’ is available from January 2015 and is priced from 4,000 GBP or 6,340 USD per villa per night.

Jumeirah Dhevanafushi, nestled in the Maldives, redefines notions of paradise with stunning geographical appeal and complete seclusion in the southernmost Gaafu Alifu Atoll. With only 35exclusive villas, both beach and water based, all come with private butler and private pools to ensure a uniquely private and personalised experience. A short boat ride away from the Main Island lies a separate water village of ‘The Ocean Pearls’; 16 overwater villas perched on platforms overlooking the iridescent ocean, complete with own fine-dining restaurant and team of private butlers. Jumeirah Dhevanafushi also benefits from two further restaurants and a bar, as well as a breath-taking over-water Talise Spa and gym, two shared pools, and an expert yoga master. A host of water-sports ensures guests have immediate access of one of the best reefs in the Maldives.
