The BMA House event’s team will be spreading the love in support of National Heart Month this February encouraging ‘fitter meetings & conferences’ at the central London medical venue.

As well as helping raise money for the British Heart Foundation’s Wear Red Day on 6 February, meetings booked at BMA House throughout February can get involved in the special Heart package which offers a free fifteen minute break for delegates at the venue and a glass of pomegranate juice for everyone.

During the extra break, the event’s team is encouraging everyone to write a short message on a paper heart about what they are doing to stay fitter this year.

Delegates can then make their way to the BMA House Garden where they can donate to charity and hang their heart shaped messages from the ‘tree of life’ as a display of love for their hearts.

Sarah Bright, Head of Events at BMA House says: “Our delegates’ health and wellbeing is very important to us and a key theme for the BMA. We recognise that encouraging meeting organisers to give attendees short, frequent breaks can also pay dividends in terms of productivity as well as promoting a healthier lifestyle at work.

“Our special Heart package is a great excuse for them to stretch their legs and enjoy a fresh glass of pomegranate juice which is good for the heart. Our garden is also a symbol of vitality, featuring a variety of medicinal and botanical plants including our prize Olive tree and Fig tree and summer strawberries.”

Give your delegates the chance to take a refreshing break, make their fitness promise and share their support by tweeting #IheartBMA @BMAHouse.
