House buyers in Kent certainly know a good thing when they see it with 80 per cent of the properties at a new development selling before a single brick has been laid. Persimmon Homes South East is creating a new site at Strood which has captured buyers’ imaginations.

The development, The Old Orchard, only launched a few months ago but already many of the properties have sold even though they will not be ready until the summer.
Jo Richards, head of sales and marketing, said: “Discerning buyers have been quick to buy off-plan. They know that they will have the pick of the best plots and also have some say over their final fixtures and fittings.”

The builder is creating an exclusive collection of just 16 two and three-bedroom semi-detached, detached and terraced homes overlooking farmland with panoramic views of much of Medway.

Jo added: “We knew The Old Orchard would be popular because of its great location, as Strood offers fantastic transport links by both rail and road to London, the coast and Europe.

“It is easy to see why this new development is really catching people’s eye. It offers the best of both worlds – great for commuters and boasting lovely countryside on our doorstep as well as a range of amenities in Strood plus great schooling.

“Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham are also nearby and Europe's largest shopping and leisure venue Bluewater, is just a short drive away.

“We are urging buyers to hurry if they want to live here and would recommend that they register their interest so they can be kept up to date with progress on the site.”
