With the UK’s cycling population almost reaching nine million, cycling is now the third most participated in sport, according to an independent sports research firm , with one fifth of the participants riding at least once a week. Featuring communal cycle storage within each apartment block, Acton Gardens, W3, a joint venture by Countryside and L&Q, has been created with cycling enthusiasts in mind.

Located less than 100 yards from South Acton Park and a ten minute ride from Gunnersbury Park where cycling aficionados will be pleased to find an array of cycle networks. Cyclists of all abilities and ages are being encouraged to get on their bike and celebrate the upcoming national bike week, which takes place from 13th to 21st June.

Andrew Loveday, Sales Director of Countryside, comments: “With an extensive network of cycle paths in the immediate vicinity, cyclists will feel at home at Acton Gardens. The Mayor of London has also proposed plans for Acton to join the cycle ‘crossrail’ route, as part of an extension to the Tower Hill to Paddington Cycle Superhighway meaning cycle commuters will have a safer and less stressful commute to work.”

Located adjacent to South Acton station on the London overground, the Station Square apartments are now available at Acton Gardens, benefiting from the highest standard of contemporary design, convenience and comfort. With expansive glazing, airy light-filled rooms and desirable outside space in the form of a balcony or terrace, many with views towards Chiswick, the apartments are perfect for summertime sunshine.

Station Square is the third phase of Acton Gardens and offers a total of 60 new homes in a range of one, two and three bedroom apartment layouts. Designed by RIBA Stirling Prize Winner Alison Brooks Architects, the homes are set in an impressive building.

There is just one duplex überhaus apartment remaining available at Liberty Quarter. The split-level home has been designed to maximise space and combine a superb specification, light-filled interior and an excellent West London location, for the best in modern urban living.

Featuring a superb specification with quality fittings and a superior finish, the living room and hallway has walnut-effect laminate flooring, while neutral carpets are fitted to bedrooms. Bathrooms feature sparkling white sanitaryware and stylish chrome accessories, complete with fitted mirrors and towel radiators, while the kitchen has contemporary streamlined units, reconstituted stone worktops and a range of appliances.

Acton Gardens is the regeneration of the former South Acton Estate and over the coming years it will evolve into a vibrant new urban village including 2,500 new homes beautifully designed around a series of parks, squares and communal gardens. The overall masterplan for Acton Gardens includes a new sports ground; a central plaza with a new supermarket, youth centre and other community facilities; and a proposed new bus route and street network to link the development to the surrounding area.

Nearby Chiswick High Street offers an exciting range of designer boutiques, good pubs and restaurants, whilst the Westfield regional shopping centre at White City is only 20 minutes away by tube from Acton Town station. Acton Gardens is also close to Acton Main Line station, which will benefit hugely from becoming a station on the Crossrail line when it opens in 2019. For sports enthusiasts, golf is available at Old Deer Park, pitch and putt at Gunnersby Park and tennis in Acton Park.

The Station Square Apartments are priced from £375,000 for a one bedroom apartment, £499,950 for a two bedroom apartment and £585,000 for a three bedroom apartment. The last remaining three bedroom überhaus at Liberty Quarter is available at £745,000. For further information, visit actongardens.co.uk.
