Located close to the beautiful Kent countryside and less than 40 minutes from London by train, it’s no surprise that new homes in Tonbridge are proving popular.

Somerhill Green on Tudeley Lane is off to a flying start with nine new homes reserved ‘off plan’. The key to the success of the Redrow development is a winning combination of location, specification and choice.

Rachael Baillie, sales director for Redrow Homes (South East), explains: “Somerhill Green appeals to a range of purchasers as it offers everything from one-bedroom apartments to substantial five-bedroom homes. Buyers have been showing keen interest and along with the nine firm reservations we’re also working with several other customers eager to purchase a property here. They all recognise that buying in a development’s early stages means that there’s plenty of choice in terms of the styles of homes available and the opportunities to customise its interior.”

Current availability at Somerhill Green includes a mix of one-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom homes. Prices start from £199,995 for a one-bedroom maisonette style apartment, with a three-bedroom Wey style home available from £382,995.

The Wey offers three floors of well planned accommodation including a well equipped kitchen, combined living and dining room, plus a cloakroom on the ground floor. The master bedroom with en-suite is on the first floor, along with another bedroom and the family bathroom. The remaining bedroom utilises what would otherwise be redundant roof space.

“Redrow has been building and selling apartments in and around Tonbridge for a number of years and we’re finding that existing Redrow homeowners looking to make their next move are keen to buy at Somerhill Green,” Rachael adds.

“The three-bedroom designs are perfect for second steppers such as those who are looking for somewhere larger where they can start a family. Plus, with Help to Buy available they could find that making their next move is easier to afford than they realised.”

Help to Buy can make a big difference to people’s borrowing power. Customers who buy in this way should only need a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

Available on homes priced up to £600,000, Help to Buy is open to first time buyers and those who have sold their existing property subject to contract.

Situated to the south west of Tonbridge, with direct access to the A26 and A21, Somerhill Green is ideally placed to achieve the perfect work/life balance. London can be reached in less than 40 minutes by train from the local station, while the beautiful Kent countryside is also within easy reach. Closer to home, there’s a selection of schools within walking distance.

The sales office at Somerhill Green is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information see redrow.co.uk/somerhill.
