Spend a week sailing a superyacht in the Med!

Argentous Superyacht

Fleewinter is offering a unique chance for budding sailors to ‘crew’ aboard the 65ft Argentous superyacht as she is sailed from her summer home in the Ionian Islands to her winter residence in the Canary Islands.

The journey will involve a leisurely cruise during November and early December with stops in Sicily, Sardinia, Majorca, mainland Spain and Gibraltar.

Each leg will take about a week, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the stops en route. While conditions are expected to be good, the trip would be best be suited to people who have done a bit of sailing before, although the yacht has two professional crew on board to offer direction.

Argentous sleeps eight guests in four, air-conditioned bedrooms (the crew have separate quarters at the front of the boat), three of which have en-suite facilities, and there is a large salon with plenty of room for dining and outdoor dining for up to 12 people - and lots of space to sunbathe and relax.

Neatly tucked away at the back of the yacht is a 40 knot speed boat with water skis, a wakeboard, ‘ringo’ (giant inflatable ring) and two paddle boards for exploring.

There are also adult and child windsurfer rigs (the warm waters of the Mediterranean are the perfect places to learn).

A week’s ‘crewing holiday’ costs from £975 per person (two sharing a cabin) which includes, crew, fuel, mooring fees, breakfast, light lunch, soft drinks, water and tea/coffee (flights extra, from approx. £150 pp). Informal sailing tuition (if required) is also free.

Fleewinter will advise regarding flights – using no frills airlines where possible – and joining arrangements to meet and return from the yacht.

Once in the Canaries, Argentous will be based on the south coast of Tenerife and sail around the coast of La Gomera to keep away from the main tourist areas (a great way to spend Christmas and New Year) with prices from £1400 per person for a week.
