Part exchange could be the answer for anyone looking to move into a new home before Christmas, according to one of the region’s leading housebuilders.

Charles Church North Midlands offers the scheme to help people move up the property ladder without the hassle of putting their home on the market.

It is feared buyers have now missed the chance to be in their new home before the festive season because on average it takes 86 days to sell and complete in the current market. That’s according to the data from the Move with Us market review, which analysed 3,400 properties on the market with home.co.uk.

However, Charles Church believe that part exchange is one way of bucking the trend as moving times can be greatly reduced compared with a normal house move.

Nadine O’Dowd, head of sales for Charles Church North Midlands, said: “Part Exchange is a popular scheme that assists people looking to buy a new home without the hassle out of selling their existing property.

“If people qualify for the scheme then things couldn’t be simpler. We will arrange for at least two valuations, agree a market price and buy their existing property. There are no hidden marketing costs, no chains to break and people can move at a time to suit them.

“The scheme helps those with a property to sell and we aim to make the whole process totally stress-free. Help to Buy is also available, which enables buyers to purchase a brand new home with only a five per cent deposit.”

Athena in Rothley, Leicestershire is just one of the developments where Part Exchange is available. Boasting the highest specification design features, the properties on the site offer spacious living suitable for growing families, couples and downsizers.

Nadine added: “With prices starting from £189,995 and only seven plots available for Christmas, we would urge people to act quickly if they want to live here.”
