Enjoying a riverside setting, with a premium supermarket on the doorstep and London less than 40 minutes away, new apartments in Tonbridge are ideally placed.

Location has played a key part in the success of Redrow’s Waterside Reach development. And, while properties near Waitrose stores reportedly command a premium, buyers could find that a brand new apartment in Tonbridge is more attainable than they anticipated.

Kerry Jenkins, sales director for Redrow Homes (Eastern), explains: “Having good local amenities is important to homebuyers and the convenience of being able to nip out to a nearby supermarket for essentials can’t be underestimated. Research by Lloyds Bank suggests that homes within easy reach of Waitrose cost 12% more than properties in the surrounding area.

“Waterside Reach is ideally situated close to the premium supermarket, with the high street also close to home and the capital around 40 minutes away, including walking to the local station. What people may not realise is that an apartment in such a prime location can be secured with a deposit of around £10,650 using Help to Buy.”

The Government’s Help to Buy equity loan scheme is available to help reduce the initial cost of homeownership.

For example, a one-bedroom apartment on the market at £212,995 could be purchased for an initial outlay of £170,396. The lower price includes a 5% customer deposit and 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

Designed and built with pride, Redrow’s apartments enjoy a high specification as standard. Kitchens are well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances, with down lights to kitchen and wet areas; while master bedrooms benefit from fitted wardrobes.

The development also offers secure undercroft parking with some of the properties. For those who want to let the train take the strain, the local station offers journey times to London in around 35 minutes.

As the name suggests, Waterside Reach enjoys a prime riverside setting, alongside the River Medway, with potential for stunning ever-changing views enabling homeowners to drink in the calm of the water.

The marketing suite at Waterside Reach is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. For the latest availability and pricing see redrow.co.uk/waterside.
