According to the latest Land Registry Report, Newham was the fastest growing London Borough based on property transactions throughout June 2015, with an annual price growth of 16%. For owner occupiers looking to tap into the growth in this blossoming borough, Genesis has launched Rawalpindi, a brand new development in Canning Town, E16.

Located in the heart of the borough, Rawalpindi offers a superb range of affordable one and two bedroom contemporary homes located in a peaceful residential area on Hermit Road, with apartments available for full market sale in the first phase, and shared ownership properties available later this year.

The homes at Rawalpindi are designed to a stylish modern specification and some benefit from private balconies or terraces. All properties offer wooden floors, modern brushed stainless steel fixtures and gloss kitchen units inclusive of integrated appliances such as fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Full height tiling to bathrooms and fitted wardrobes in the master bedrooms offer residents all the finishing touches you would expect in a new home from Genesis.

Rawalpindi is ideal for commuters, combining modern urban living with the convenience of a fast commute into central London. Star Lane DLR station is less than half a mile away, offering services to Canary Wharf in just 15 minutes. Northbound DLR services offer connections further afield, including West Ham for Hammersmith & City and District Lines and Stratford for connections to the Central Line, and the development is well served by local bus routes.

To the north, Stratford is a hub of activity, with the Olympic Park and Westfield shopping centre offering over 300 stores, cinema, casino and restaurants, as well as national and international rail, London underground and DLR services. Local amenities include shops, eateries and a supermarket on Barking Road just south of Rawalpindi.

For those who like to get outdoors, several parks are close by, including Hermit Road Recreation Ground and Star Lane Park, offering football pitches, games court and children’s play areas.

Prices at Rawalpindi start from £240,000 for a one bedroom apartment, from £315,000 for a two bedroom apartment. For more information, visit genesishahomes.org.uk.
