Enjoy Christmas at Tyddyn Llan

For some Christmas is all about presents, TV specials and the Queen’s speech, whilst for others it is all about great company, wining, dining and being merry!

Michelin-starred Tyddyn Llan Restaurant with Rooms, near Corwen on the edge of Snowdonia in north Wales, is the perfect place for foodies to enjoy superb cuisine and wine over the festive break, and head chef and owner Bryan Webb has created an unashamedly indulgent three night break.

Things commence with a traditional Welsh tea on the afternoon of arrival on Christmas Eve, which will be followed by a five-course French-themed dinner later in the evening with dishes such as griddled scallops with cauliflower purée, ventrèche bacon, caper and raisin dressing, and roast wild bass with laverbread beurre blanc.

Christmas Day on Friday December 25th will commence with a light continental breakfast in the dining room to allow plenty of room for the four course lunch which will be served after a glass of mulled wine or Champagne with canapés

Among the choices on the menu for lunch will be ‘Label Anglais’ free-range bronze turkey with all the trimmings, roast Madgett’s Farm goose with sage and onion stuffing, prune and bacon rolls and apple sauce, roast sirloin of Welsh Black beef with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce, and roast turbot with leek risotto and red wine sauce.

In the evening a festive buffet will be available from 8.30pm, so guests can graze at their own pace depending on space!

On Boxing Day, guests may choose to go for a local walk after breakfast (route notes available from reception) before lunch.

The evening dinner will comprise a six course Italian affair with dishes including panzerotti, home-cured bresaola of Welsh Black beef, and porchetta (roast suckling pig) with creamed polenta.

Guests depart after breakfast on 27th December (extra nights from £120 per person for dinner, bed and breakfast).

The three night break costs from £595 pp (two sharing) to include all meals listed plus pre- lunch drinks on Christmas Day (the Boxing Day lunch is at a supplement).

A two night stay on either, the 24th and 25th, or 25th and 26th costs from £395 pp (two sharing). To book, visit tyddynllan.co.uk.
