According to a brand new report from property portal eMoov, Bexley in South East London is the hottest property spot in the UK, with 77% of homes sold in the last quarter alone. Offering a selection of brand new properties to tempt yet more buyers in this popular borough, Bellway has proudly launched The Brackens, a collection of three and four bedroom homes in Welling, in the London Borough of Bexley.

The development, located within a quiet cul-de-sac off Belgrove Road, enjoyed a successful opening weekend on the 14th November. Over 135 visitors turned out to the launch event, and 80% of the properties released have already been reserved.

Peter Knights, Sales Director of Bellway Homes Thames Gateway, comments: “We’re thrilled with the opening weekend success at The Brackens. The turnout was great, and to have reserved so many already is a great achievement. It’s easy to see the appeal of the new homes here, and the reason why so many have sold locally recently, with so much in the surrounding area making them ideal for growing families. With so little left at The Brackens, we urge other interested purchasers to come down and visit the site before it’s too late.”

The Brackens is a collection of brand new three and four bedroom homes, designed to be functional and practical for the busy modern family. Contemporary kitchens offer a range of integrated appliances, including electric double oven and hob, fridge freezer and washing machine. Bathrooms are fitted with Roca white sanitaryware and chrome fixtures and fittings.

The development is perfectly located for families, with a selection of schools in the surrounding area, including Eastcote Primary, Bishop Ridley CE Primary and Hook Lane Primary. For older pupils, Welling School, Harris Academy Falconwood and Bexley Grammar are all within five miles of The Brackens.

Residents will never be short of things to do, as nearby Welling High Street offers a good selection of well-known brands, independent retailers, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, while just three miles east Bexleyheath is home to the Broadway Shopping Centre, nine-screen Cineworld cinema, and a variety of bars and restaurants. Additionally, Bluewater is just a 20 minute drive from home and boasts over 300 stores and more than 60 eateries, as well as 16-screen cinema and exhibition centre.

For more relaxed leisure pursuits, the area surrounding The Brackens enjoys an abundance of open space, including Oxleas Wood and East Wickham, while Danson Park covers more than 180 acres and offers sporty residents a choice of fantastic activities, including a boating lake for watersports and fishing, tennis courts, football pitches, mini golf and a children’s playground. It is also home to a nature reserve, boat house, Danson Stables restaurant, an 18th century mansion and the popular annual Danson Festival.

For commuters, The Brackens is well placed, with Welling station offering train journeys into London Victoria in 36 minutes. Ebbsfleet International Train Station is a 20 minute drive away, offering Eurostar services to Paris, Lille and Brussels, while London City Airport is nine miles away. By road, the A2 offers access to the A205 South Circular and the M25 for journeys further afield.

Prices start from £429,995 for a three bedroom home. For more information, visit bellway.co.uk.
