Older people looking to make a fresh start in the New Year are invited to visit Eastbank Court to discover how they could enjoy a new lease of life in a brand new apartment.

Aspen Retirement is extending a warm welcome to potential homeowners and their families, who are invited to visit the popular development in the Northwick area of Worcester between Christmas and New Year; and to enjoy a mince pie and refreshments as they look around.

The development will be open to visitors from December 28 to 31 inclusive between the hours of 10am and 4pm.

They’ll be able to see first-hand how Eastbank Court really comes into its own during the winter months thanks to the hotel-style communal facilities and range of social activities organised by homeowners.

Liz Herring, sales and marketing manager for Aspen, said: “The period between Christmas and New Year is when families often spend more time together and may perhaps notice that an older relative is not managing as well as they used to and could benefit from extra support. The vast majority of initial enquiries we receive come from concerned family members and with that in mind we’re inviting families to drop in over the festive period and find out what retirement living is all about.”

Visitors will be able to explore the facilities including a licensed restaurant, hair and beauty salon, library and activities room, as well as meet those who’ve already moved to Eastbank Court.

“The restaurant is a favourite with both our homeowners and their relatives. Many of our residents tuck into a hearty home-cooked lunch there on a daily basis without having to worry about buying in food, preparing their meal and washing up afterwards,” Liz added.

“Not only is it convenient, but often friends and neighbours dine together so there’s a social benefit too. Plus family members will be assured that mum or dad are enjoying a nutritious meal in good company. The restaurant will even be open on Christmas Day and we have about 20 people, including guests, booked in for lunch,”

Eastbank Court homeowners have formed their own social committee, which organises a host of activities including film nights, knit ‘n’ natter sessions, bingo and themed meals in the restaurant.

Eastbank Court offers a choice of stylish, spacious energy efficient one and two-bedroom apartments with prices from £184,950.

Ninety minutes of domestic help a week is included in a service charge, which also covers buildings insurance, window cleaning and maintaining the gardens and communal areas. There’s a manager on site around the clock, for added peace of mind.

And, with the option to add extra care if and when it’s needed, moving to Eastbank Court now could prevent a further move in future.

Located on Eastbank Drive, Northwick, the Aspen Retirement development is ideally placed in a quiet residential area. There’s a post office, shop and chemist close by; while the city centre is easily accessible by bus.
