Home-hunters hoping to move on or up the property ladder can get a welcome helping hand to secure a stylish apartment at Taylor Wimpey’s Lysaght Village in Newport.

There’s a superb selection of beautiful one and two-bedroom apartments currently for sale at this popular South Wales development, with a view apartment coming soon this spring.

What’s more, the fantastic Help to Buy Wales scheme is available at Lysaght Village, enabling eligible purchasers to access a 20% equity loan from the Welsh Government towards the cost of their new home.

This popular incentive means Help to Buy Wales customers only need a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a 5% deposit – and with one-bedroom coach houses priced from £94,995, that’s a deposit of as little as £4,750!

Sara Taylor, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Our stunning new-build apartments at Lysaght Village would make the perfect first home for those hoping to make a move onto the property market.

“Each apartment has been carefully designed to maximise space and light, and offers a host of energy-efficient features, such as modern central heating and double glazing, as well as a fitted kitchen with oven, hob and hood. It’s also a low-maintenance option compared to buying an older property, with no costly repairs or DIY jobs required.

“With Help to Buy Wales, purchasers only need a 5% deposit, and with just a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and record-low interest rates, they may well find they end up paying less in their monthly mortgage repayments than they were paying in rent!”

Apartments currently on sale at Lysaght Village include one-bedroom ‘Teme’ coach houses from £94,995, and two-bedroom ‘Lydstep’ apartments from £99,995.

Each ‘Lydstep’ apartment, for example, is ideal for individuals or couples and has plenty of room for relaxing and entertaining in the light and airy open-plan kitchen/living/dining room. The second bedroom provides a useful space for working from home or having guests to stay, while there’s also a handy allocated parking space outside.

Available for first-time buyers and existing homeowners who have sold their current property (subject to contract), Help to Buy Wales can be used to purchase new-build properties up to the value of £300,000. There’s no salary cap for customers using the scheme.

To get help finding their perfect property at Lysaght Village, property-seekers can visit the Sales Centre, located off Corporation Road, Newport, Gwent, NP19 4AL, and open daily from 10am to 5pm. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
