With a growing list of potential purchasers, those who want to put down roots in a brand new home in Shrewsbury are being urged to spring into action.

Dozens of people have already enquired about new Redrow homes coming soon to Lime Tree Meadows on Ellesmere Road.

There will be 67 private sale homes, in a choice of three, four and five-bedroom designs from the sought-after Heritage Collection.

The first properties are due to be released for sale next month (May) and would-be homeowners are encouraged to register their interest now.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “Situated on the northern edge of Shrewsbury, the new homes at Lime Tree Meadows are ideally placed for buyers with children as Greenfields Primary School is just a few minutes’ walk away. The shops, restaurants and other amenities in the town centre are within easy reach, including the train station, which offers direct links to Birmingham and Chester with journey times of around an hour to each. We’ve already started taking enquiries from potential purchasers and would invite those considering moving to get in touch if they don’t want to be left waiting at the station.”

The external design of the homes will be very traditional, taking inspiration from the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era. Inside, the properties will be bright and modern with a high specification as standard.

Those who buy early in the build process will have lots of opportunities to customise their new home using the My Redrow feature of the housebuilder’s website, selecting everything from the finish of the kitchen cabinets to the colour of the bathroom tiles.

Prices will be announced when the homes are released for sale in May.

Redrow will be investing more than £1.5 million in the community by providing affordable homes as part of the scheme and paying more than £450,000 to the local authority to fund improvements to the local infrastructure.

Prospective purchasers can register their interest in the new homes at Lime Tree Meadows now via the website redrow.co.uk/lime.
