Camping L’Atlantique, Fouesnant, Brittany: one week from £1048

This is a lively campsite perfect for water lovers. The focal point is a large heated water park with indoor and outdoor pools, children’s pool and several water slides. Séquoia Parc has a reputation as one of the most immaculate campsites in France. It is set amongst a gorgeous old château, old barns and coach houses which have been tastefully converted into a spacious bar and restaurant, providing a lovely country club atmosphere. Facilities include a water park with four huge pools, water slides, a Jacuzzi and a 100m-long lazy river! Camping Pomport Beach, Dordogne: one week from £824

Located in within the heart of the Dordogne, Camping Pomport Beach has just 130 pitches and is close to a lake with a sandy beach making it ideal for families with small children. It has a rural location of vineyards and forest but is only 15 minutes’ drive from the airport and town of Bergerac.
