A report published by NatCen Social Research found that more than four in ten Londoners aged 18 to 40 claim they’d be willing to leave the capital in search for a better chance of getting on the housing ladder. Luckily for those who have their hearts set on a London home, developer Genesis offers Shared Ownership on all of its properties at Jessops at New Providence Wharf, E14.

Through Shared Ownership, buyers can purchase between 25% and 75% of the property, paying subsidised rent on the remainder. Residents can then increase their share at any time, all the way up to 100% and outright ownership. A selection of two bedroom apartments are available to move in to immediately from just £121,250, with a deposit from as little as £12,125, meaning residents at Jessops will not have to compromise on their favourite location or miss out on the hustle and bustle of city life that they desire.

Ideal for city professionals, the development offers a more affordable option for those that work in central London and want to remain close to the office and all of the fantastic amenities that the city has to offer. It can also be cheaper than renting, particularly in central London. The development is ideally placed within walking distance from Canary Wharf and just a few stops on the Docklands Light Railway from Bank and Canning Town.

The final two bedroom apartments at Jessops have been designed to a contemporary specification with spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen areas with full height windows that fill the rooms with light. Kitchens come fitted with contemporary units, inclusive of granite worktops and integrated Bosch appliances, including a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedrooms are light and airy, while the bathrooms come fully tiled finished with modern white sanitaryware and chrome fixtures and fittings.

For leisure amenities, residents are well located, with Canary Wharf’s three shopping centres offering high end and high street brands, and a range of bars and restaurants within walking distance from home. Less than 10 minutes away by train is Westfield Stratford City, boasting over 500 shops, a casino, bars and restaurants.

Across the river, the O2 Arena boasts one of the largest live venues, home to various sports and entertainment shows, as well as a choice of bars and restaurants, cinema and the famous Indigo2 nightclub. Closer to home, New Providence Wharf is becoming a destination in its own right. The area is bustling with an array of eateries and bars, hotels and leisure facilities.

Prices at Jessops start from £121,250 based on a 25% share or the full market value of £485,000 for a two bedroom apartment. To register your interest and for more information visit genesishahomes.org.uk.
