In a special event this weekend (Sunday, September 18), Redrow Homes will be launching its final phase of new homes for sale in Moston.

Woodville Gardens will launch with advice and information on hand for those interested in purchasing using the government’s Help to Buy incentive.

Showcasing the new selection of 19 three and four-bedroom homes now available to buy and reserve, potential buyers can drop in to the event - which will be held at Redrow’s neighbouring St. John Gardens development, on Kingsley Avenue - anytime between 10am and 5.30pm. What’s more they can find out how Help to Buy could see them moving into their perfect family home sooner than they think.

Woodville Gardens on Ashville Terrace is a collection of three and four-bedroom homes from Redrow’s Heritage Collection. Built with the needs of families in mind, they boast architecture with traditional charm and interiors that allow for all the luxuries of modern living - all to Manchester City Council’s ‘Homes for Life’ specification.

Help to Buy is designed to help first-time buyers and those who may not have substantial equity in their current homes get moving. Backed by the government, the scheme allows home buyers to take out a 20% equity loan that’s interest free for the first five years. It means they should be able to purchase a new home with only a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The equity loan covers the balance and can be paid back when the customer has more funds available or when they come to resell.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), explains: “Help to Buy can be a very useful initiative in making the purchase of a new home more affordable as it reduces the initial price buyers pay for their home. It’s great for first-time buyers and existing homeowners can use it too, once they have sold their existing property subject to contract.”

Currently for sale at Woodville Gardens is the three-bedroom semi-detached Letchworth, with prices from £152,995, the three-bedroom detached Brecon from £164,995 and the four-bedroom Stratford from £179,995 – all with en-suites to the master bedroom. With Help to Buy the initial outlay on each reduces to £122,396, £131,996 and £143,996 respectively. Information on the similar homes to come as part of the development’s final phase will be available at the launch event.

“Only having to find a 5% deposit is a big bonus – and the smaller mortgage means lower monthly repayments in those crucial first few years,” Claire adds. “We have a great choice of homes to suit the needs of families in Moston and we are here to help make the move to the perfect one that bit easier.”

Homebuyers don’t need an appointment to go along to the event on September 18. For more information on Woodville Gardens visit: redrow.co.uk/woodville.
