Homebuyers in Leyland are invited to a special event highlighting how easy it can be to own a brand new home in just two easy steps.

On Saturday September 17, Redrow is hosting a ‘two ticks’ event at its popular development, The Hedgerows on Wigan Road in Whittle le Woods, to help would-be buyers secure the home of their dreams - with the help of two valuable incentives.

With three show homes available to view, potential buyers can drop in between 10am and 5.30pm on the day to find out how Redrow’s Mastermove, coupled with Help to Buy, can really get them moving into their perfect family home.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), explains: “Those with an existing property to sell can use our Mastermove service, which recruits the skills and experience of a local estate agent. The agent will be managed by us and we will either contribute to or pay the customer’s selling fees in full at the end of the day.

“But that’s only one half of the story. Once they’ve found a buyer and sold their existing property, subject to contract, they can then use Help to Buy to purchase one of our brand new Heritage Collection homes at a reduced price

“We call this process our ‘two ticks’ approach.”

The Government backed Help to Buy scheme allows home buyers to take out a 20% equity loan that’s interest free for the first five years. It means they should be able to purchase a new home with only a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The equity loan covers the balance and can be paid back when the customer has more funds available or when they come to resell.

A three-bedroom detached Warwick with an en-suite to the master bedroom and ground floor cloakroom, that would normally cost £234,995, can be bought for an initial outlay of only £187,996 using Help to Buy; or the larger four-bedroom detached Cambridge family home reduces from an initial outlay of £305,995 to £244,796.

“Only having to find a 5% deposit is a big bonus – and the smaller mortgage means lower monthly repayments in those crucial first few years,” Claire adds.

Surrounded by open countryside, yet within easy reach of both the popular market town of Leyland and the more extensive shopping and leisure facilities of Preston, The Hedgerows is a collection of three and four-bedroom homes, offering the best of both worlds. It also enjoys excellent commuter connections, with the M6 close by and easy access to the West Coast Mainline rail services.

Homebuyers don’t need an appointment to go along on the day. For more information on the house styles and incentives at The Hedgerows, visit redrow.co.uk/thehedgerows. Alternatively visit the show homes and marketing suite on Wigan Road, open Thursday to Monday inclusive, between 10am and 5.30pm.
