Fast-acting home-hunters in Somerset can choose the perfect property to suit their lifestyle at Taylor Wimpey’s Somerdale development in Keynsham – and won’t have to pay a penny in stamp duty!

The leading housebuilder is offering to pay the stamp duty on the plots currently available at this exciting development for reservations made until the end of September. With three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Savy’ homes priced from £342,000 and four-bedroom ‘Gladstone’ townhouses from £399,000, that’s a free gift of up to £9,950 towards the cost of moving!*

What’s more, each of the new homes currently on sale at Somerdale comes with kitchen appliances included in its great-value price.

Charlie Joseph, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The ‘Savy’ and the ‘Gladstone’ housetypes offer a wonderful choice to prospective purchasers in the market for a spacious three or four-bedroom home.

“And with our fantastic stamp duty paid offer available until the end of September on the plots we currently have for sale at Somerdale, there’s no time to waste for buyers looking to get a great deal!”

Plot 151 – The Savy, for example, is priced at £342,000 and features a spacious kitchen/dining room opening through double doors to the private rear garden, with a large living room and a guest cloakroom completing the ground-floor layout.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a family bathroom, while outside, there’s parking for two cars.

Meanwhile, Plot 916 – The Gladstone, priced at £399,000, is a handsome three-storey property which has a large kitchen/dining room with double doors to the garden plus a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

On the first floor, there’s a beautiful living room with Juliet balcony overlooking the garden, along with a well-proportioned bedroom and a family bathroom, while an en-suite master bedroom and two further bedrooms occupy the top floor. The property also benefits from an integral garage and driveway parking outside.

Taylor Wimpey’s Somerdale development is a unique project which has transformed the former Cadbury chocolate factory site in Keynsham.

The newly-opened Somerdale Pavilion provides a vital focal point for the local community with five flexible function rooms, a large sports bar with a skittle alley and a multi-activity room for community groups.

Alongside the Somerdale Pavilion, residents at Somerdale are able to enjoy a new range of community facilities including a new gym, FA-standard floodlit football pitch – one of 13 full-size pitches available at the development – plus two junior football pitches, four cricket pitches and a nine-hole golf course, netball, bowling club and tennis courts.

A local centre is also included in the masterplan for the site, including retail units, a medical centre, a riverside café and a care home, as well as a new 210-place primary school and 30-place nursery.

A riverside walk will be created with a cycle/pedestrian bridge over the River Avon, while substantial areas of public open space, including a wetland area for wildlife, are to be established. Some existing factory buildings will be used to create 120,000 sq ft of employment space.

Keynsham has its own railway station just a short stroll away for direct services to Bristol, Southampton and London Waterloo, while Bristol city centre lies only six miles from home. The development is also well located for access to the A4, the M32 and the M4.

The Somerdale Sales and Information Centre is located off Somerdale Road, Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 2AU, and open daily from 11am to 5.30pm (Mondays from 1pm to 5.30pm). Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
