Night tube services on the Jubilee Line will begin on 7 October 2016, making it the third line on the London Underground to operate 24 hours a day. This will be a huge bonus for people living and working along the line and is an added draw for those looking to buy a new home near to one of its stations. Residents at Countryside’s East City Point development are just a short walk from Canning Town station, where the extended Jubilee line services will be particularly useful for those who work nights or simply want to make the most of London’s nightlife.

The 24-hour services will operate along the entire Jubilee line, initially on Friday and Saturday nights with trains running on average every 10 minutes. This is a game-changer for Londoners especially as the Jubilee Line boasts some of the capital’s biggest entertainment venues and centres of employment including the O2, Wembley Stadium, Canary Wharf and Westfield Stratford City. Thousands of people are already using the night tube services on the Central and Victoria lines which started in August.

Canning Town is a vibrant neighbourhood where extensive regeneration has brought not only new homes but also wide-ranging amenities and community facilities. Now available to buy at East City Point is a selection of contemporary apartments within The Atrium Building, the development’s second phase. The apartments come in a mix of one and two bedroom layouts with stylish open plan living spaces, featuring environmentally-friendly features and a high quality specification.

Andrew Loveday, Sales Director for Countryside comments: “London is a 24 hour city so it’s right that the transport system should operate 24 hours too. East City Point is an especially attractive location for those who work in Canary Wharf and the City, and the night tube services will make Canning Town an even better connected place for those who want to make the most of the London lifestyle.”

The Atrium Building is a striking modern design, with extensive use of glazing that maximises natural light to the interior spaces. Each apartment offers flexible and spacious living accommodation, with a balcony to provide private outdoor space.

On trend interior design includes a sleek specification featuring kitchens with handleless base and wall units, contrasting worktops with upstand, integrated electric ovens, ceramic hobs with glass splashbacks and integrated pull out extractor hoods. Integrated appliances including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The stylish bathrooms and en suites combine style with practicality, featuring white sanitaryware with chrome fittings and driftwood finish bath panels. The homes also boast impressive green credentials with every property heated by E.ON’s District Heating System, which provides instantaneous hot water and reduces carbon emissions by around 25% compared to traditional gas heating.

East City Point is located in the heart of Canning Town, where £3.7 billion is being invested into the ongoing regeneration of the area. Plans include Custom House Station, the rejuvenated Rathbone Market and the new Hallsville Quarter, which will offer a number of high street retailers, together with a new Morrison’s supermarket and leisure facilities.

East City Point is well placed for commuting across the capital with Canning Town station under a mile away, from where the Jubilee Line runs to central London in 15 minutes and Canary Wharf in five minutes. The DLR also stops at Canning Town station with its new extension linking to Stratford International station for local services to Woolwich and Tower Gateway, as well as Eurostar services to Paris, Brussels and beyond. Transport links across London will be improved further with the arrival of Crossrail in December 2018 at nearby Custom House station, which will connect commuters to the West End in 14 minutes.

Prices at East City Point start at £325,000 for a one bedroom apartment and £422,500 for a two bedroom apartment. London Help to Buy is available on selected properties. For further information, visit the Marketing Suite, open every day 10am-5pm. Alternatively, visit eastcitypoint.com.
