A regenerated Deptford is proving an exciting option for homebuyers, transformed into a vibrant cosmopolitan district, the town has turned into a creative hub. For young professionals, and first-time buyers the launch of new homes on Saturday 19th November at Kent Wharf by Bellway Homes will provide an opportunity to get on the property ladder and invest in an up-and-coming area.

Kent Wharf will consist of one, two and three bedroom apartments. Home buyers will be able to reserve a selection of the first phase of apartments within the development that will include a selection of new homes set in communal gardens. There will also be the opportunity to reserve one of handful of apartments that are available with Help to Buy London, using the popular Government-backed scheme. Seventeen of which, were already snapped up at a recent Help to Buy London event that Bellway organised earlier this month.

Emma Denton, Head of Sales at Bellway Thames Gateway, comments: “We are excited to be launching our new development which showcases apartments ideal for young professionals who are working in the city and looking for a fast commute and for those who are looking for a more affordable base in London. The development has received a lot of interested already so we urge anyone interested to come down and see the new show home for themselves, to reserve a great home in one of the most culturally diverse areas of London.”

The apartments offer a high-quality specification with open-plan living areas, integrated kitchen appliances and en-suite shower room and fitted wardrobe to the master bedroom. Many homes will also have a balcony, with some offering views over Deptford Creek.

There’s plenty to do in the local area, with a buzzing High Street and centre with restaurants, wine bars, traditional pubs and cafés. Deptford hosts an array of markets offering street food from around the world, fresh produce and antiques. Also, nearby is The Albany Performing Arts Centre which hosts live music, drama and comedy, while Deptford Lounge, a state-of-the-art community centre offers an open-air spots court, library, film screenings, family activities and workshops.

For leisure pursuits, 183-acre Greenwich Park is around a 15 minute walk away. Wavelengths Leisure Centre is just half a mile away and offers a gym, swimming pool, exercise studio and health suite.

A significant draw is the area’s travel links that include direct lines to Shoreditch and Goldsmith, a pull for artists and creatives heading to the area. Kent Wharf is less than a ten-minute walk to Deptford train station, Greenwich train station/DLR and Cutty Sark DLR, meaning London Bridge can also be reached in just eight minutes by train and Canary Wharf in nine minutes by DLR. Major roads nearby include the A2 and A20 for quick access to the M25 for journeys further afield.

Apartments will be available with a guide price of £364,995 for a one bedroom. For more information or to register your interest, visit bellway.co.uk.
