Cannes and the surrounding region is well-known as a summer hotspot, but the French Riviera has plenty to attract visitors in winter too, from the Christmas markets in December to the famed Mimosa Festival in February.

Mimozas Resort in Cannes-Mandelieu is offering a new long-stay winter break package for three weeks at just £894* for a one-bedroom apartment on a self-catering basis.

For visitors in December, the Cannes Christmas markets on Les Allees are packed with stalls, as well as offering entertainment, parades and an outdoor ice-rink, with some wonderful professional displays.

Or, for those that want to beat the January blues, the Mimosa, the region’s famous flower, blooms from January to March, enhancing this stunning landscape which has inspired some of the world’s most famous films, books and artists. The famed tourist road between Bormes-les-Mimosas and Grasse offers visitors a 130km circuit of spectacular scenery and the Mimosa Festival takes place in February with a series of events and a grand celebration.

Tracey Coughlan, general manager at Mimozas Resort explains: “We’re seeing an increasing number of guests coming for longer winter breaks, which prove particularly popular with the over 50s. Given the region’s abundance of attractions, together with the enchanting culture and of course the famous Provençal cuisine, it’s a wonderful alternative winter escape and we’ve designed this superb value three-week package specifically with these guests in mind.”

Mimozas Resort offers a range of self-catering apartments, all with their own private balcony and fantastic views, plus separate sitting rooms and plenty of home comforts.

On site you’ll find a restaurant, bar, outdoor swimming pool, spa, hot tub and the region’s most famous golf course adjacent. Book now at mimozascannes.com.
