With Ebbsfleet Garden City, Britain’s exciting new 21st century city, set to transform north Kent and latest plans revealing its vibrant commercial centre and seven city parks; the latest residential phase to be released in the Castle Hill area is the flagship scheme by Barratt Homes. Barratt Kent secured over eight reservations at an exclusive preview of Castle Hill’s first collection of 112 one, two and three bedroom apartments last month. Savvy buyers were the first to secure a brand new apartment at Castle Hill, as they sought to invest in this thriving new residential village.

Castle Hill will boast over 6,500 new homes when complete, each with its own distinct style and identity, but with traditional Kent vernaculars running throughout the village. From artisan cottages dotted along village lanes, properties centred around the village green, large park-side detached houses, grand terraces of townhouses, arts and crafts style homes, to more traditional style tree-lined streets of semi-detached and terraced homes; every type of buyer will be catered for at Castle Hill.

Facilities at Castle Hill will include shops and leisure facilities such as country parks, tennis courts, play areas, outdoor events space for community events, as well as allotments. Castle Hill will also be host to a brand new primary school, Cherry Orchard Primary, which will provide places for over 400 students and is due to open in September 2017.

A network of paths and cycleways will run throughout Castle Hill connecting the development to Ebbsfleet Garden City, which is also part of the Government’s Healthy New Towns programme. In addition to the commercial centre at Ebbsfleet Central and parks, which will boast views across Kent, the River Thames will also be opened up with promenade walks giving the public access to the waterfront for the first time in over a century.

Pam Reardon, Sales & Marketing Director for Barratt Kent says: “It is no wonder that canny buyers are seeing the potential of investing early in one of the first apartments to be built at Castle Hill. This part of Kent is set to become a magnet for local homebuyers and businesses over the next 15 years and the village of Castle Hill, will be a major asset for the wider community, as well as its residents.

Castle Hill is well placed for the unrivalled Kent Thameside transport network with each home located within a five-minute walk of a Fastrack bus service stop. Ebbsfleet International Station, which connects residents with central London in 17 minutes and Paris in two hours is less than two miles away and also on the Fastrack bus route. The M25 is also easily accessible, putting Gatwick Airport within easy reach.

Bluewater Shopping Centre is less than four miles away from Castle Hill by car, offering cinemas, a selection of restaurants and much in the way of retail therapy. Meanwhile, Dartford, is less than seven miles away, where there are more amenities like the traditional Dartford Farmers' Market with fresh produce from the local Kentish fields and orchards. There are also plans being brought forward nearby for the London Paramount Entertainment Resort, which will measure twice the size of the Olympic Park and include attractions such as a water park, theatres, live music venues, rides and cinemas, as well as hotels.

The apartments at Castle Hill will launch formally in the New Year with a show home to give prospective buyers an indication of the high quality fixtures and finishes. The apartments are being released in phases, with the first completions expected early 2017. To register your interest, visit arratthomes.co.uk/new-homes/kent/H711001-Castle-Hill/.
