House hunters could reap the ever-blooming benefits of buying a brand new home at one of Redrow’s prime North Yorkshire developments.

Not only can buyers invest in an award-winning Heritage Collection property, designed to bring together the best of old and new, but they can also enjoy being close to the busy spa town of Harrogate and surrounded by an idyllic floral-filled location.

The latest phase of homes at Devonshire Gardens, off Claro Road, in Harrogate, is located alongside a beautiful green space area, which boasts a mix of formal and informal planting.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “In terms of location, it doesn’t come much better than this.

“In addition to the more formal green space area, there is a wildflower meadow, wetland areas, plus trees and shrubbery, so homeowners should be able to enjoy the biodiversity and wildlife that this will encourage.”

And she added: “Customers will feel like they are in the countryside and able to enjoy such a beautiful and relaxing living environment, yet have all the benefits of being so close to a major town with the leisure facilities and amenities that it offers.

“It may be a cliché to call it the best of both worlds but in this instance it’s superbly apt.”

Devonshire Gardens’ Heritage Collection offers English craftsmanship inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th/early 20th century; an enduring style which remained popular for homes in later periods, especially the 1930s. Yet walk through the front door and this collection, with its chic and perfectly-planned interiors, is very firmly in the 21st century.

With modern styling throughout, bright, open plan living spaces and contemporary appliances, there are two Heritage Collection house designs currently available at the Claro Road development.

They include the four-bedroom Sunningdale, priced from £529,950 and offering generously proportioned accommodation, with the perfect balance of shared rooms and personal space. It benefits from two en-suite bedrooms, a utility room off the kitchen, a downstairs cloakroom and an integral double garage, with clever design evident in every detail. The larger five-bedroom Marlborough is also available from £599,950.

Devonshire Gardens was one of two Redrow developments in Yorkshire which were Highly Commended in last year’s UK Property Awards, which highlighted the choice of homes available – it has townhouses and semis from Redrow’s Georgian-influenced Regent Collection as well as the detached Heritage Collection homes and its wonderful location.

Locally, there is everything home owners need from dentists and doctors to a post office while, for their weekly shop, Harrogate is home to all the major supermarkets, including a Waitrose and Marks & Spencer Simply Food store, as well as wealth of leisure facilities from theatres to cinemas, leisure centres and gyms and, not forgetting, iconic attractions like the famous Bettys Café and Tea Rooms.

Harrogate also prides itself on a 200-acre area of open grassland known as The Stray, which envelopes the main ‘old town’ and is popular for picnics, outdoor games and activities. It’s only a few minutes from Devonshire Gardens.

Homes from both Redrow’s Regent and Heritage Collections are currently available at Devonshire Gardens, starting from £297,950. Show homes and the sales centre on Claro Road are open from Thursday to Monday from 10am until 5.30pm. For more information, visit redrow.co.uk/devonshire.
