Many movers are vying for village life when it comes to the ideal place to live, but for those hoping to enjoy Redrow’s Coppice development near the charming resort of Southport, be warned - you can’t keep coasting.

The award-winning homebuilder has a double helping of wonderful properties remaining in beautiful Banks, close to the Victorian seaside town, but with only two chances to set up home in this lovely location, buyers had better get a move on.

Claire Jarvis, sales director with Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “There is something magical about living on the coast throughout the different seasons, and Banks is well placed to benefit.

“This West Lancashire village has plenty to offer those looking for a better balance in their lives. Alongside the peace and quiet of village life, there are local attractions including the nearby Ribble Estuary national nature reserve with its saltmarshes, which attract a host of feathered friends like skylarks in the summer and whooper swans in September.

“Places like Southport, Liverpool and Preston can be easily reached and there are schools, a leisure centre and other amenities in the locality.

“And, of course, they can be enjoyed alongside the luxury of living in a stunning Redrow home from our Heritage Collection, which combines beauty and traditional architecture inspired by a bygone era with the added bonus of a must-have modern interior.”

There are now only two four-bedroom detached homes remaining, The Stratford, priced £254,995 and The Cambridge at £296,995.

Both boast generous proportions making them popular with downsizers – or ‘right sizers’ as Redrow prefers to call them; people who want a more manageable, energy efficient home and perhaps a less time-consuming garden, but still want plenty of space for their furniture and treasured belongings, plus spare rooms for when family and friends come to stay.

The Cambridge, in particular, has a lovely open plan kitchen, dining and family area that spans the rear of the property, overlooking the garden, and is a very sociable space for entertaining.

Both remaining homes are also very family friendly and incentives like the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme mean purchasers could find they are able to move with just a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage from a lender of choice, thanks to an equity-loan of 20% that’s interest-free for five years.

And, whichever style of home they choose, the surroundings are happily the same. As well as the National Nature Reserve, there are watersports and championship golf courses on the doorstep or within an easy drive, and the development is ideal for commuters to Southport, Liverpool and Preston.

For more information on the final two new homes at The Coppice, see redrow.co.uk/thecoppice or visit the marketing suite on Guinea Hall Lane, usually open 10am to 5.30pm Thursday to Monday inclusive.
