New Grande Punto fleet powers into E.ON

27th April 2009 Print
Fiat More than 100 new Fiat Grande Punto vans have been delivered to leading power company E.ON in a deal designed to generate new savings in fuel, CO2 levels and cost of ownership.

In total, 101 of the brightly-coloured Grande Punto vans have been supplied to E.ON’s meter reading division by Fiat Professional, Fiat UK’s commercial vehicle division. The new vans are being funded by contract hire company Lloyds TSB Autolease, and have been specially prepared for this particular activity.

All the vans are equipped with air conditioning, reverse parking sensors, rear window protection grille and protective mats, along with a speed limiter and alarm. And in addition to the special E.ON red paintwork, each van has been finished with customised E.ON UK graphics.

“We are delighted with this deal, which is a five-year contract hire agreement, based on 30,000 miles per year,” says Colin Parnell, National Contract Hire & Leasing Manager, Fiat Professional. “E.ON chose us for a number of reasons, including the overall cost of ownership, the Grande Punto’s fuel efficiency, and the fact that they received positive feedback from their drivers during evaluation.”

“You can’t fail to miss the new E.ON Grande Puntos with their bright colouring,” says Grahame Neagus, head of Lloyds TSB Autolease specialist commercial vehicle unit. “This superb deal with Fiat Professional will allow E.ON to continue to offer its high level of service, while keeping an eye on running costs and the environment.”

Combining all the comfort, style and quality of a great car with the convenience and robustness of a commercial vehicle, the Grande Punto van is proving a top choice among fleets. Powered by Fiat’s tried and tested 75 bhp 1.3 16v MultiJet engine, the range starts at £9,085 plus VAT.
