Georgian-influenced townhouses from Redrow’s Regent Collection are set to bring an award winning North Yorkshire development to a close.

Highly commended at the 2016 UK Property Awards, Southbank in Newton Kyme has seen the redundant Papyrus Works replaced with two neighbouring developments, St Andrew’s Place and The Rectory.

The final phase of St Andrew’s Place has just been released for sale, featuring four-bedroom Wellington and Montpellier townhouses. But with only nine homes being created in the last-but-not-least chapter, buyers had indeed better beware – act fast or lose out!

“The success of St Andrew’s Place speaks for itself. Previous phases have been very popular and I believe we will be putting the ‘sold’ signs up on these latest properties very soon after they have been released for sale,” says Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire).

“There has been so much praise for the Georgian-inspired house styles, because of their pleasing period features, ageless elegance and the space that owners both want and need.”

Patsy continues: “Add to that the location, close to areas of woodland, large open fields and the River Wharfe – as well as being near to the sought-after village of Boston Spa with all its shops and services – and it is impossible to think of anything not to like about this development.”

Redrow’s Regent Collection evokes the classic Georgian-style architecture of the Regency period, with characterful frontages that create a distinct sense of grandeur; and each home boasts a contemporary interior with high quality fixtures and fittings.

The Wellington, from £299,950, is the embodiment of the Regent townhouse, rising up over three floors to provide space and flexibility. Step through the portico entrance and customers will find a spacious kitchen diner at the heart of this home, with a generous lounge opening out to the garden.

On the first floor are two double bedrooms and a single, plus a family bathroom, while the top floor is home to a magnificent master suite creating a sanctuary for mum and dad. Alternatively it could offer independent living for older children or make a great guest space.

Similarly, the Montpellier, from £354,950, features impressive architecture and stonework and three floors of perfectly planned space for today’s families.

Downstairs is a large lounge and open plan kitchen/dining area that will soon become the hub of family life, while on the first floor are three generous double bedrooms, two with built-in wardrobes, plus a family bathroom. And, again, the master bedroom suite takes up the whole of the second floor and boasts lots of luxury trimmings.

But don’t just take Redrow’s word for it. Marketing manager Caroline Simpson, 24, bought a York style townhouse at St Andrew’s Place with partner Nick Lambert, 29.

“It won us over partly because of the symmetrical look of the home outside; the clean lines appealed to us and it has such elegance,” says Caroline. “Nick and I loved this house because of the kitchen and dining area with the French doors which open out onto the garden, we spend most of our time in here and it’s great when friends come. That’s when it comes into its own. It was this part of the house which sold it to us, and we love it.”

Alongside this development Redrow has just two of its Arts & Crafts influenced Heritage Collection four-bedroom detached family homes remaining at The Rectory and a pair of three-bedroom semis coming soon.
