Show homes to sow the seed for Droitwich buyers

A trio of show homes will help inspire buyers hoping to turn over a new leaf in a new home in Droitwich.

The Orchards will offer 145 private sale homes in a choice of two, three, four and five-bedroom designs from Redrow’s Arts & Crafts inspired Heritage Collection.

They will be showcased by three show homes – professionally styled and fully furnished examples of the three-bedroom Leamington and Worcester house types, plus a four-bedroom detached Richmond – due to open this Friday (May 19).

The new homes, being built on Newlands Road, will enjoy a leafy setting with more than five acres of open space forming part of the development. Large orchards and allotments will be created, plus two large attenuation ponds, play areas and mature trees retained along the boundaries.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “Hundreds of people have registered their interest in The Orchards and there’s a growing sense of excitement among potential purchasers as the show homes take shape. Some simply can’t wait and have been visiting Maple Gardens in Evesham to gain an insight as to quality and finish of our Heritage Collection designs. We’ll be inviting those who’ve already enquired to have an exclusive first look at the show homes at The Orchards before we open to the public.”

Convivial open plan layouts recognise that the kitchen is very much the heart of the home, providing inviting, multi-functional sociable spaces in each of the show homes.

The smallest of the three, is the Worcester, spanning 1,245 sq ft of well-planned living space including three good sized bedrooms and plenty of storage space.

The Leamington with its covered porch, bay windows and circular window is a prime example of how Redrow’s Heritage Collection combines traditional architecture with high specification interiors designed to meet the demands of modern living.

The combined kitchen, dining and family room is complemented by a separate lounge, with a utility and cloakroom completing the ground floor accommodation.

Upstairs, all three bedrooms are doubles, each with an en-suite wet room, with the master also benefiting from a dressing room.

The largest of the show homes is the Richmond, spanning 2,030 sq ft. In this property two of the four bedrooms have an en-suite, with the master also featuring a dressing room.

“People love how our Heritage Collection homes combine the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era with interiors designed to meet the demands of modern living,” Pauline adds.

“While these traditional looking homes have been available at various locations across Worcestershire since 2011, we’d invite buyers to take a fresh look as we’ve made some small changes to the designs that could make a big difference to purchasers. In some of the house types walls have been moved to increase the floor space, while across the collection the ceiling heights have increased, along with the height of the doors and windows. Other changes include new hipped roof pitches to allow more light into our developments and break up the streetscape.”

The show homes at The Orchards are due to open from Friday, May 19.

Prices for the properties will be announced at the launch.
