According to a recent survey by landscaping specialist, Marshalls, a third of millennials are taking an interest in gardening. The new study of 1,200 people in the UK, found that 25% of millennials believe that gardening offers them a greater sense of wellbeing, with 35% also saying that just owning a garden made them feel better in themselves. ‘Terrennials’ wanting a home boasting both front and rear gardens for carrying out their green fingered pursuits should look to Countryside’s Willow Grange development in Coxheath, Kent.

Willow Grange is surrounded by diverse green countryside and overlooks the Weald landscape of Kent, an area of outstanding natural beauty, offering purchasers a further sense of wellbeing. The development comprises 66 two, three and four-bedroom thoughtfully designed homes, each benefitting from a high specification to suit the needs of modern day buyers.

Emma Fearn, Associate Director for Sales & Marketing of Countryside’s New Homes and Communities South region comments: “With Kent being the Garden of England, it’s no wonder that the trend for gardening millennials, otherwise known as terrenials, is finding its way to our Coxheath development. The homes we are creating at Willow Grange offer landscaped front and turfed rear gardens, perfect for those wanting to get outdoors to better their wellbeing, through gardening or simply relaxing.”

A striking example of the homes ideal for terrennials, is the Elder house design, a traditional three-bedroom home with an open plan kitchen, dining and living room, creating a fluid space which is the social hub of the home. The living area also comprises double French doors, opening onto the rear garden, with plots 72 and 73 boasting idyllic south facing gardens. The kitchen is contemporary style, featuring integrated appliances including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine.

On the first floor, the spacious master bedroom includes fitted wardrobes and en suite with white sanitaryware with chrome mixer taps. This floor is also home to two further bedrooms and family bathroom.

Commuters travelling into London are well served by Maidstone East and West Railway Stations located within three miles of the development offering high speed rail links into the city. East Farleigh Railway Station is also located nearby, providing direct access to Paddock Wood, Strood and Tonbridge all within 25 minutes. Coxheath also benefits from being under seven miles from the M20 giving excellent access to the national road network, linking to both London and the east coast of England.

Prices for the homes at Willow Grange start from £335,000 for a three-bedroom property and from £410,000 for a four-bedroom home. All the homes are available to purchase through the Help to Buy scheme.
