A stroll along the promenade or beach doesn’t have to be the reserve of holidays or trips to the seaside – it can be an everyday occurrence for homeowners at The Fairways in Herne Bay.

Ideally situated just two miles from the promenade and beach, the new Redrow homes enjoy a sought-after location on the Kent Riviera. The setting, combined with the blend of Arts & Crafts architecture and high specification interiors, mean that the properties are in demand with 25 ‘off plan’ sales.

Now that show homes are open to inspire buyers, Redrow is confident of building on that success.

Stuart Galloway, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South East), says: “There’s a high level of demand for new homes in Herne Bay, particularly from people looking to downsize or right size once their children have moved into homes of their own. Location has been a big driver, attracting those who are looking to relocate as well as those already living locally but who want a home that better suits their needs.

“Buyers have been eager to view the properties at the earliest opportunity and we’ve had lots of positive feedback. Visitors tell us they’re keen to live close to the coast in a home that looks traditional, but is easy to manage and efficient to run, without the need for costly repairs and renovations.”

The show homes at The Fairways are a three-bedroom Amberley, and four-bedroom Cambridge and Oxford styles. All three are detached designs.

In another milestone for the development, the first residents have just moved in.

“The Fairways will eventually be a whole new community, enjoying easy access to existing amenities in the town centre including the train station, plus shops, cafes and restaurants and not forgetting two miles of Blue Flag sand and shale beach,” Stuart adds.

“Redrow will also be investing in the area for the benefit of both new and existing residents with funding allocated to highways improvements, education, Herne Bay Library, youth services and bus services.”

Plans for the wider redevelopment of the former golf course site, to be delivered by another company, include proposals for a care home, commercial units, doctor’s surgery and public house, plus 64 acres of open space with facilities for tennis, football, cricket and hockey.

Current availability at The Fairways includes three and four-bedroom designs priced from £309,995.

They include the four-bedroom detached Shaftesbury, available from £454,995.

At its heart is the combined open plan kitchen, dining and family room with adjoining utility. This inviting sociable space is complemented by a separate lounge.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has an en-suite, which along with a downstairs cloaks, alleviates the morning rush for the family bathroom.

To sample life in a brand new Redrow home on the Kent Riviera, visit The Fairways open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
