Lancaster house hunters who do their homework will discover a range of fabulous family-focused properties at Riverside View in Lancaster.

The homes from Redrow’s prized Heritage Collection marry the best of old and new; and there’s a range of styles which would pass even the toughest test from parents, tots or teens.

Top of the class is a four-bedroom detached Canterbury home which boasts a host of added extras to earn it an A* and, better still, it’s ready to move into now.

“It means that as the end of one school term draws to a close, one family could move into a beautiful new home and get the kids settled over summer,” says Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire). “That way they would be ready for school by the time the new term begins in September.”

But that’s not the only reason to invest in one of Redrow’s beautiful properties.

Priced at £314,995, with Redrow able to pay the stamp duty as an added incentive, the Canterbury is an executive-style four-bedroom detached home with a commanding frontage and period features inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, while inside it’s bright and airy with modern, open-plan living spaces.

Ideal for families of all sizes, The Canterbury has an expansive kitchen and dining area, which would be sure to become the hub of the home, while a separate lounge is perfect for those quieter, relaxing moments. An additional study is ideal to blend work and home life seamlessly, or it can be used as a snug or playroom.

Upstairs there are four good sized bedrooms, the master of which is en-suite, and a family bathroom. The property also has a double garage, utility and ground-floor cloakroom.

Redrow’s finishing touches are always of an exceptional standard – the kitchen is fitted with a SMEG double oven and hob, and a top brand fridge freezer, along with wall and floor cabinets from Symphony in a choice of styles. However, this particular Canterbury at Riverside View comes with a host of extras included - carpets and ceramic floor tiles throughout, landscaped rear garden, upgraded kitchen work surface, multi-room downlights and fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom.

There’s so much to love, as there is with other Heritage Collection properties at the New Quay Road development; like the three storey Lancaster townhouse from £269,995 with its balconies to enjoy views of the River Lune, and the four-bedroom detached Stratford with single garage and en-suite, from £249,995.

Of course, those who prefer apartment living can choose from the one and two-bedroom Hayeswater apartments, from £99,995.

There’s plenty of choice and all in a delightful location, close to the heart of the historic city of Lancaster.
