With the advent of Crossrail due to slash commuting times across the capital, aspiring homeowners can now widen their search in the hunt for a property within easy reach of central London. Harold Wood, in northeast London, already offers fast routes into Canary Wharf, Bond Street and Paddington, and will see journey times reduced by up to 19 minutes when Crossrail arrives.

In addition to cutting commutes, Crossrail has already been boosting property prices, with property values surrounding the stations increasing 3% more than London as a whole since the project was approved in 2007. Harold Wood was recently highlighted by eMoov as one of the eight cheapest stations along the Elizabeth Line, where prices are below the London average but growth remains strong. Homebuyers looking for a home that provides an investment opportunity, will find a selection of brand new apartments on offer at Countryside’s Kings Park development, just a short walk from Harold Wood station.

A two-bedroom show apartment has recently opened, so home buyers can see the high quality of finish and specification on offer. The apartments are perfect for young professionals and families looking to get on the property ladder and obtain more space for their money. What’s more, the homes at Kings Park are available through the Government-backed London Help to Buy scheme, which allows buyers to purchase with as little as a 5% deposit.

David Everett, Managing Director of Countryside New Homes and Communities Central region comments: “We believe that owning a luxury, quality home can be affordable. At Kings Park, our apartments truly reflect that, by looking slightly further afield along the capital’s outer fringes, home buyers can have great quality indoor and outdoor space, while still enjoying the benefits of being within such easy reach of central London.”

Kings Park offers a collection of luxury one, two and three bedroom apartments, each and every one benefiting from outside space in the form of either a terrace or balcony, with many overlooking the beautiful surrounding parklands or landscaped courtyard, perfect for al fresco dining in the coming summer months.

All apartments feature spacious, open-plan living, kitchen and dining areas which are flooded with natural light thanks to full height glazing. The master bedrooms come with integrated wardrobes and a luxurious en-suite in the two and three bedroom apartments. With an impressive specification, these stylish homes are built to complement modern lifestyles. Kitchens feature contemporary gloss white units and composite worktops, with integrated fridge freezers and dishwashers provided as standard. A washer/dryer is also installed in one of the spacious storage cupboards and flooring is provided throughout. Bathrooms are complete with stylish white sanitaryware, mirror, chrome accessories and cream ceramic tiles to floors and walls.

Local amenities within easy walking distance include a Post Office, supermarket, bakery and restaurant. Nearby Brentwood is home to a wider selection of bars and eateries, high street and independent boutiques, while for even greater choice, Romford is just a three mile drive away, offering a vast array of nightlife, two multiplex cinemas, a wide range of restaurants, historic market and bustling Liberty Shopping Centre.

In addition to excellent rail links, Kings Park also offers easy access to the A12, A127 and M25 for fast connections into and around London, Kent and Essex, with easy access to the M11 for travel to Hertfordshire and Cambridge.

Prices for one-bedroom apartments start from £299,995, two-bedrooms start from £365,000, and three-bedrooms are available from £440,000, with London Help to Buy available. The marketing suite and show home are open seven days a week, from 10am until 5pm. For more information, visit kings-park.co.uk.
