Taylor Wimpey’s stunning Emerald Gardens development in Kew has progressed through to the final stage of a prestigious national competition.

This unique collection of apartments and penthouses has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Best design for four storeys or more’ category in the Housebuilder Awards 2017, an industry awards competition organised by Housebuilder magazine and the Home Builders Federation (HBF) in partnership with the NHBC (National House Building Council).

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place on the evening of Thursday 2nd November at the InterContinental London – The O2 hotel.

Nikki Gibson, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West London, says: “We are honoured to have been shortlisted in the Housebuilder Awards 2017.

“Set in the sought-after London Borough of Richmond, Emerald Gardens enjoys a leafy location in the heart of Kew village, near the River Thames and just a 10-minute walk from the Royal Botanic Gardens, so it really does offer something very special.

“The new homes perfectly complement their affluent surroundings, offering a luxurious lifestyle with underground car and cycle parking, an attractive, tree-landscaped courtyard and a 24-hour concierge service.

“I’d like to congratulate the whole team involved in the development. Their success is richly deserved and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for them for the awards ceremony later this year!”

One and two-bedroom apartments are currently available to reserve at Emerald Gardens, priced from £535,000 and £645,000 respectively.

Situated in the enviable London borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, Emerald Gardens is Taylor Wimpey’s flagship collection of 170 apartments and penthouses, set amongst Kew’s leafy green streets and within walking distance of the River Thames.

The new homes at this prestigious development offer a tranquil yet convenient lifestyle on the outskirts of the city. Each apartment is finished to an exceptionally high specification and residents benefit from an array of exclusive bars, restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as a great choice of boutique shops and several popular high street favourites.

The popular Kew Retail Park, for example, is within walking distance and features amongst its stores Marks and Spencer, Costa Coffee, Boots, Next, Gap and TK Maxx.

Kew Village is home to well-known attractions including the world-famous Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Palace and the National Archive, which holds 900 years of historical records including the Domesday Book – all within a short walk from the development.

There are a number of well-regarded schools in Kew, while for commuters, Kew underground station provides easy access into Central London in just over 30 minutes on the District Line, while Kew Bridge railway station offers regular services to Gatwick Airport and London Bridge. Junction 1 of the M4 is just a short drive away for routes west, and the M25 and M40 are also close by for links to the north.
