Iveco wins pan-European Daily deal with FedEx Express Iveco has become a partner of FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company, following the delivery of sixty new Iveco Daily vans.

The vehicles are in the process of entering service in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, the UK and Ireland, with each Daily finished in the company’s distinctive corporate livery. Each vehicle is based on the Daily 35S12 model and benefits from a partition and internal shelving system, together with a wide sliding side door and twin rear doors offering 270 degree opening for maximum ease of loading.

After carefully evaluating all of the major competitors, FedEx selected the Daily for its distribution fleet based on the vehicle’s strong all-round performance. It had particularly high praise for the Daily’s class-leading cab ergonomics, combined with the array of possible load compartment configurations available.

“We are delighted to have become suppliers of one of the world leaders in the mail & parcel sector, not least because FedEx selected our vehicles after subjecting us to a strict evaluation process that all their potential suppliers have to go through,” says Iveco International Key Accounts and Used Vehicles Manager Ottavio Gioglio.

Each of the new vehicles is powered by a 2.3 litre HPI engine delivering up to 116 hp and built using Iveco’s expertise as a leading manufacturer of diesel engines over 70 hp. The characteristics of this engine ensures Daily is both flexible in traffic and ideal for longer journeys.

FedEx Express provides a fast and reliable delivery service in more than 220 countries, using a global air-and-ground network to speed delivery of time-sensitive shipments, offering guaranteed time and date deliveries supported by a money-back guarantee.
