23rd January 2009 Print
Stanian Transport Renault Truck Container haulage company, Stanian Transport, has taken delivery of a 6x2 Renault Premium 450.25 tractor unit, through Renault Trucks distributor JDS Trucks. In an important conquest deal, the Euro 5 truck, with automatic gearbox, is the first Renault to join a 30-strong fleet of Volvo and Scania vehicles.

The Renault Premium will undertake local haulage operations in the North of England, for clients such as ICI and Index, from its base in Manchester. The company also has a Renault Magnum on order to undertake international haulage.

Phil Chambers, Managing Director, Stanian Transport, says: “We are very pleased with the performance of the new Renault Premium. We chose the Euro 5 truck, with automatic gearbox, for its low emissions and also to save on fuel costs and we are currently comparing fuel efficiency against the other trucks on our fleet.”

Established in 1968, Stanian Transport has 37 employees, with a mixed fleet of over 30 vehicles. It is a family business, based in Urmston, Manchester.
