Leyland Trucks increases production due to robust truck market

Production levels will be increased in March at Leyland Trucks’ Lancashire assembly plant. The increased level of production is expected to create up to 80 new jobs. It will raise the current annual output of the plant to 25,000 trucks a year.

Leyland operates one of the most efficient truck factories in the world. The 710,000 square-foot plant incorporates an innovative robotic chassis paint facility and state-of-the-art Advanced Planning and Scheduling system, to produce DAF’s high-quality LF, CF and XF product line. The vehicle range – with widely different market requirements – is delivered to customers in Europe, Australia, South Africa and North America.
