New homes to be unveiled in Eastcote

27th February 2009 Print
New homes to be unveiled in Eastcote George Wimpey’s eagerly anticipated Sandringham development in Eastcote, Ruislip, will be revealed to house-hunters when the new Visitors’ Centre opens this Saturday 28th February 2009.

The centre, located in High Road Eastcote, provides exclusive details of the first release of just over 100 homes and a scale model of the development.

House-hunters can also reserve their home ahead of the opening of the showhomes, to make sure they have the pick of the plots.

Tim Betts, George Wimpey’s Regional Sales and Marketing Director, said: “So far we have kept many of the details of the new Sandringham development under wraps.

“But that will all change on Saturday 28th February, when we open the doors to the Visitors’ Centre to unveil the superb range of properties available.

“Our experienced staff will be there to answer any questions you may have and, you never know, you may just find the home of your dreams!”

Sandringham lies within 19 acres of landscaped grounds and will have something for everyone, from first-time buyers and downsizers to those looking for a place with more space.

The first phase of the development will comprise 113 stylish new properties including contemporary apartments, a wide range of spacious family homes – some with beautiful conservatories – and exclusive Live/Work units for those who wish to run their business from home. Future phases will feature substantial detached homes with gated entrances and sumptuous crescent townhouses for versatile living.

A new community hall and public open spaces are also included in the development design.

Each property will be finished to a high standard specification, including gas central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and stainless steel hood and appliances, and downlighters and ceramic floor tiles to add a contemporary feel to kitchens and bathrooms.

The site of Sandringham was once home to wartime code-breakers, operating 24-hours a day between 1943 and 1945 as an outstation of Bletchley Park, the famous decoding centre of the Government Code and Cypher School.

Known as HMS Pembroke, Lime Grove housed more than 100 decoding machines operated by Wrens who worked through sequences of possible Enigma encryptions, generated by the Germans for disguising strategic messages.

Today it is set to become a vibrant new community, and the first homes are available to reserve for off-plan prices at the launch, giving those preparing to make their move during 2009 the potential to save thousands of pounds on a brand new property.

Sandringham is perfectly positioned between Ruislip and Eastcote High Street with a superb array of shopping facilities and transport links. Local stores catering for everyday needs include Marks & Spencer and Waitrose. A wider choice of outlets can be found nearby at The Chimes Shopping Centre in Uxbridge and the Harlequin Shopping Centre in Watford.

Pubs, restaurants and bars are also within walking distance of the development, the well-equipped High Grove Gym is just around the corner, and the tranquil parkland of Ruislip Common, Park Wood and Ruislip Lido are also within easy reach.

Commuters choosing to enjoy Sandringham’s laid-back lifestyle are well catered for, with the M40 and M25 a 15-minute drive away and direct local bus services to Pinner, Northwood and Ruislip. The development is also equidistant from East Ruislip, Eastcote and Ruislip Manor stations on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, and, only a little further on foot or by road, South Ruislip and West Ruislip stations on the Central Line.

Customers registering now will be able to take advantage of incentives for first-time buyers and George Wimpey’s easymover programme, through which those with a home to sell can reserve their new home while the housebuilder helps to find a buyer for their current property.

Incentives can be tailored to homebuyers’ circumstances and are subject to availability.
