Jet2let Property launches carbon off-setting scheme Specialist agents Jet2let Property are pleased to announce that for every viewing trip to Bulgaria there will be a carbon offset of the return flight, approximately 1,200kg CO2.

Lance Nelson, Managing Director comments, “We have implemented this scheme because we all want, and often have no choice, to fly. Before purchasing a property in Bulgaria it is natural that any buyer would wish to visit the country but Jet2Let are determined for its clients to travel and invest in Bulgaria without a net increase in CO2 emissions.”

All those who arrive in Bulgaria on inspection trips will, within two weeks, receive a certificate confirming that Jet2Let has made payment to carbonfootprint.com to cover the CO2 emissions. Alternatively, Jet2Let clients can elect to have a tree planted in their area of their choice under the “Pledge a Tree” scheme and again a certificate will be issued. If a buyer has traveled independently then Jet2Let will also cover the carbon footprint of the flight from any European destination.

Jet2Let are believed to be the first company to offer such a scheme in Bulgaria and welcome participation from other related companies who share this vision for tourism and want to be part of a carbon neutral contribution to Bulgaria’s development.
